What a Great 28th!

This year's Mount Pleasant Glass and Ethnic Festival had great weather, great entertainment, great food, and great fun.

We would like to thank our sponsors, our vendors, our volunteers, especially the student volunteers from the Mount Pleasant Area High School, and our residents.  Without you, the Mount Pleasant Glass and Ethnic Festival could never happen.

The Festival Committee would like to commend the high school student volunteers for their great job and hard work this entire weekend.

As an annual fundraiser, the Festival benefits the community in multiple ways.  See how we give.

If you took pictures during the Festival, enter to win our Take Your Pic contest.  The deadline to enter is Tuesday night (September 30th) at 11:59 pm.  The best picture in each of the four categories wins $50.  Submit your pic.

Share your festival experience with us.  Submit your story to Sparky's Storytellers.

Follow us on your favorite social media and stay up to date with what's happening with the Festival throughout the year.

Thanks for coming!  Join us next year!

A Sparkle Spectacular Weekend in Mount Pleasant

The colorful leaves sneak onto the trees in the crisp autumn air.  Signs and banners decorate the streets of Mount Pleasant.  The Festival Committee works hard doing last minute details.  Yes, the 28th Mount Pleasant Glass and Ethnic Festival is about to begin.

This Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the Festival opens at 11 am along Washington Street.  Alongside the many old favorites will be new vendors hoping to become a favorite festival tradition.  Come to enjoy ethnic food and crafts and watch the glass blowing and cutting demonstrations.

In all three areas, we jam pack the entertainment.  From rock to country, folk and native dance, and the many contests, we always have something that appeals to our guests.  See the full entertainment schedule.

The popular pageant parades across the gazebo on Saturday morning.  Mount Pleasant’s Got Talent has returned to the Washington Street stage.  Also on the Washington Street stage is our new Cheerfest, a cheering contest for elementary school age squads.  Don’t forget to vote in the Baby and Pet Photo contests.

Kidsfest will run from 11 am to 1 pm on Sunday in front of the Gazebo.  Kids can make free crafts and dance with the bubbles.  This year’s Kidsfest t-shirt features Sparky the Fireman complete with a fire truck.  Color one for $5.

While you are at the Festival, Take Your Pic!  Our new photo contest has four categories—selfie, food, family, and child(ren) with Sparky.  Photos must be taken during the Festival on Festival grounds.  For official rules and how to submit, see the webpage.

Cell phone charging stations and an ATM machine are conveniently located within the Festival.

As always, admission and entertainment are free.  Parking is available on the streets and in the parking lots of Mount Pleasant.  Free satellite parking with free shuttle service is located in the parking lots of Walmart (state road 819) and the Mount Pleasant Glass Centre (Lenox on state road 31).  Check the website for directions and shuttle times.

Every night, we send guests off with the Illumination Launch and Sparkle Spectacular.  Sunday evening, around 7:30 pm, fireworks will close the Festival.  Come one day, or better yet, all three, and have a great time.  See you there!
